Event Details
The 2012 Walk and Roll, benefiting Parenting Children with Special Needs, Inc. (PCWSN), was the idea of the PCWSN Board of Directors which is made up of local parents and caregivers who all share a special connection: one or more of their children have been diagnosed with an array of special health care issues.
Our mission is to further support the dedication of enhancing the quality of life of families whom have a child with challenges associated with a medical diagnosis. PCWSN empowers these families by providing funding, educational resources, community awareness and support. It is our hope to not only relieve some of the financial stress that comes with treatments not covered by insurance, but to also be an advocate for the children who are spending the majority of their days in and out of the hospital and in therapies. These special parents have come together in an effort to raise awareness about the daily lives of parents whom have a child with special needs, and to help others gain understanding for all children and families affected.
A walk designated not by a diagnosis but by a special needs community as a whole. This walk will gather the community to stand as one, where no parent or child walks or rolls alone!
Gather your team together and let the support of others lift us up!
